SPENCER PERCEVAL – 200th ANNIVERSARY
An evening of words and music to mark the 200th
anniversary of Spencer Perceval (assassinated 1812)
becoming Prime Minister.
A Civic Society plaque was unveiled.
Stephen Pound, MP, spoke, and the music included
Vaughan Williams’s Tallis Fantasia
and Dvorak’s Wind Serenade, Op 44.
